Dan Stavert

Daniel is a Paddle Australia sea kayak instructor, Polar Tourism Guide Association senior guide and assessor, expedition leader, and climbing guide from Tasmania, Australia.

His training in technical outdoor skills, plus a love and passion for understanding the human and geographic landscapes we move through, informs all of his work, be it expedition leading small and large boats in Antarctica, operating a base camp in Greenland, sea kayak expeditions around the world, leading mountain treks, or guiding on rock.

Daniel has been working in the guiding industry for almost twenty years, the last ten of which have been specialised in the polar world, where the abundance of life in such seeming austerity never fails to inspire.
