10-Night Lighthouses North Expedition

This adventurous voyage begins in Oban and journeys through Scotland’s lesser-known islands, offering views of iconic lighthouses such as Lismore, Tobermory, and Neist Point. Sailing past the Small Isles, Skye, Scalpay, and up the coastlines of Harris and Lewis, we explore the remote Shiants, Stornaway, and, if weather permits, overnight at North Rona, Sula Sgeir, and the Flannans. Rich wildlife abounds as whales, dolphins, and seabirds animate the Minch waters. Key highlights include North Rona Lighthouse, a solitary guide in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, and Eilean Mòr Lighthouse, known for the mysterious disappearance of its three keepers in 1900. These remote lighthouses are havens for nesting puffins, fulmars, and razorbills, enhancing this journey into Scotland’s wild beauty and maritime history.
