Just northeast lies the rugged Jura, famed for its solitary Jura Distillery in Craighouse, producing whisky that reflects the island's untamed character. Jura’s wild terrain, dominated by the towering ‘Paps of Jura’ mountains, is a haven for Red Deer, seals, and birds of prey.
