North Seymour

Geography

Located north of Baltra, North Seymour is relatively flat and small, having been formed by seismic uplift rather than volcanic activity.

Significance

This uplifted island is renowned for its vibrant bird life, including frigatebirds and blue-footed boobies. It offers an excellent introduction to the Galapagos' unique ecology.

Attractions

Visitors can take guided walks to see frigatebirds puffing up their red-throat pouches, blue-footed boobies performing their mating dance, and land iguanas sunbathing.

Activities

The island also provides opportunities for snorkelling and diving nearby.
