The Grand Explorer is an intimate polar expedition yacht crafted for exclusive journeys into some of the world’s most remote Arctic regions. Originally built in 1994 for oceanographic missions in Greenland and fully renovated in 2021, the vessel now blends exceptional ice-strengthened capability with refined Scandinavian-inspired interiors and highly personalised service and is available for private charter and expert-led voyages.

Accommodating just 12 guests across 9 premium cabins – including two Master Suites and two Single Suites – Grand Explorer offers a truly private expedition experience, supported by 8 dedicated crew members and 2 expert guides. Generous onboard spaces include a panoramic lounge-library, conference area, observation lounge, sauna, fitness room and outdoor jacuzzi, creating a seamless balance of adventure and comfort.

Polar Exploration

Purpose-built for polar exploration, this 47-metre yacht features an ice-class hull, two Zodiacs and a landing craft, enabling immersive shore landings and close-up encounters with remote wilderness areas. Guests can explore destinations such as coastal Norway, Svalbard, Spitsbergen and Northeast Greenland, discovering towering glaciers, rich Arctic wildlife and untouched polar landscapes with the flexibility that only a small expedition yacht can offer.

Bridge Deck

The Bridge Deck is the yacht’s command and observation hub, featuring the wheelhouse, expedition office and a panoramic observation lounge with access to an outdoor cockpit terrace. It’s the perfect space for wildlife spotting, route viewing and relaxing between excursions.

Suites & Observation deck

The Suites Deck offers premium accommodation alongside wellness facilities including a sauna, jacuzzi and outdoor observation area. Spacious suites and sweeping polar views create a private, luxury retreat after each day of exploration.

Main Deck

The Main Deck is the social heart of Grand Explorer, home to the restaurant, bar, conference lounge, and boutique library. It also provides direct access to the Zodiacs and the expedition landing areas for daily ashore adventures.
