Puerto Caldera

Geography

Puerto Caldera is a significant port on Costa Rica's Pacific coast. It's one of the country's primary shipping and commercial hubs, vitally involved in importing and exporting goods. The port is situated in the Puntarenas province and is strategically important due to its proximity to the capital, San José, and other significant industrial and commercial areas.

Significance

As one of the busiest ports in Central America, Puerto Caldera is significant for Costa Rica and the broader region. It helps facilitate trade between Central American countries and the rest of the world.
