Teresa Machan

Teresa's travels have taken her to all seven continents. She has crossed Australia, the US and Canada by road, rail and bus, travelled overland from Thailand to West Timor and spent a few years exploring Southeast Asia while working as a journalist in Hong Kong. Expedition cruises have taken her to the Kimberley in northwest Australia, the Galapagos, Antarctica, and the Sea of Cortes in Baja. She learned to scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef and loves to kayak and snorkel. In Antarctica, she managed a 23-minute snorkel in a dry suit. 

Teresa enjoyed a five-year stint as cruise editor at Telegraph Travel and now freelances for national titles. Happiest on, in, or under the water. Teresa lives on the South Coast in Brighton where she swims year-round.
