Costa Rica, whose name translates to “rich coast,” is a true haven for nature enthusiasts. Despite its modest size, the country is home to nearly 6% of the world’s biodiversity. With strong environmental conservation policies in place, about one-quarter of Costa Rica's land is protected jungle. This gives us an extraordinary opportunity to explore both its lush landscapes and vibrant coastal waters. As we venture through this remarkable region, we hope to encounter an array of unique wildlife, including native birds and animals such as the Marbled Wood Quail, hummingbirds, toucans, spider monkeys, iguanas, sloths, and, if we’re lucky, the rare and endangered Scarlet Macaw.
