  • Listen to engaging Polar experts and learn tips from experienced photographers.
  • keep an eye out at sea for breaching whales and huge albatross flying above.
  • Compare monumental icebergs in the Gerlache Strait and Antarctic Sound as you head to the Weddell Sea.

The "In Shackleton's Footsteps" expedition aboard the SH Vega is an 18-day journey that retraces the path of the famed explorer Ernest Shackleton. Departing from Ushuaia, Argentina, the voyage encompasses key locations significant to Shackleton's explorations, including the Antarctic Peninsula, Elephant Island, South Georgia, and the Falkland Islands.

Drink in the icy wilderness of the Antarctic Peninsula as you follow in the footsteps of Ernest Shackleton, one of history’s greatest explorers. Observe penguins, seals, whales and seabirds in their natural habitat. And stop at the Falkland Islands, a haven for endemic birdlife, before crossing the famous Drake Passage back to Ushuaia where your voyage ends.

This voyage offers a blend of historical exploration and wildlife observation, all aboard a state-of-the-art polar vessel.
