Discover a variety of landscapes, from thundering waterfalls and steaming lava fields to lush valleys that seem to stretch forever. In Husavik, have your camera ready to capture the sight of a whale’s fluke as it dives deep into the ocean. The nutrient-rich waters along Iceland's northern coast attract numerous whale species, offering frequent sightings of humpback and minke whales. Iceland is also home to large colonies of Atlantic puffins, and you’ll have plenty of chances to spot these charming birds as they nest in their burrows.
