Seaventure was custom-built for both the challenges and opportunities that only Antarctica can offer. Its size is formidable enough to deliver a supreme level of comfort and safety even in challenging seas, yet small enough to provide a superior level of personalised service, casual luxury, and flawless access to all things Antarctica. Seaventure’s 1-A Super ice class rating, the highest ice class awarded to passenger vessels, will take you places lesser ships can’t go. The ship features all outside-facing staterooms (some with balconies), a 360 viewing deck, as well as al fresco dining on the Lido deck when weather permits. With a guest capacity of around 150, every passenger feels connected to both the onboard experience and the destinations.

Antarctica is a uniquely challenging environment, one that Seaventure is supremely prepared for. Its state-of-the-art stabilising system provides safe, comfortable passage through even rough seas, and its ice rating is second-to-none in these waters. This means Seaventure can usher you into places (and amazing experiences) that regularly turn away lesser ships.

Caring for a fragile environment

When Polar Latitudes replaced our previous ships with Seaventure three years ago, we reduced our per-passenger emissions by 20%, a critical factor in the decision. Onboard, we’ve reduced the use of plastic by 50% over the last 3 years, with a goal of zero un-recycled plastic by 2025. Even our expedition jackets, produced by Shackleton of London, will be 100% recycled by the ’24-‘25 season.

Seaventure’s itineraries are designed for true exploration. The ship boasts modern, cosy cabins, many with private balconies and ocean views, ensuring guests enjoy the ever-changing scenery. The dining experience on Seaventure combines regional flavours with international cuisine, emphasising fresh, quality ingredients prepared by expert chefs. Onboard amenities include a gym, sauna, and a heated saltwater pool—a rare feature for an expedition ship—offering relaxation after a day of exploration. There are multiple outdoor spaces as well as a lecture lounge, bar, library and Citizen Science Laboratory.

Seaventure offers a variety of dining experiences designed to enhance your voyage. The main dining room offers open seating for breakfast and lunch, allowing guests to dine at their convenience. For a more casual atmosphere, the Grill restaurant offers buffet-style meals, and when weather permits, al fresco dining is available on the Lido deck, providing a delightful outdoor setting.

In addition to the main dining options, the Seaventure offers a bar in the Club Lounge, perfect for unwinding after excursions and connecting with fellow passengers and crew.

Overall, Seaventure's dining facilities are designed to provide a comfortable and enjoyable culinary experience, complementing the adventure of exploring remote destinations.

A small yet fully-equipped gym can be found on board with a range of fitness equipment, including treadmills and rowing machines.

Onboard enrichment on Seaventure includes lectures, talks, and expert-led briefings on topics such as marine biology, glaciology, ornithology and polar environments. These are delivered by expedition guides and scientists during the voyage. The ship also features a custom-built Citizen Science Laboratory where guests can participate in a variety of ocean and polar research tasks and experiments.

The on board library is stocked with numerous books on multiple topics for you to enjoy and use for reference during your expedition cruise.
