Like migratory seabirds that traverse both poles, the Sea Spirit follows the sun—northbound in summer and southbound in winter, always ready for spontaneous encounters with whales, polar bears and dramatic polar landscapes. She is highly manoeuvrable and capable of navigating the narrow fjords of East Greenland and entering the small bays of Spitsbergen. Fully renovated in 2017, the Sea Spirit combines the spirit of adventure with a high standard of onboard comfort.

Equipped with Rolls-Royce Zero Speed Stabilisers, the Sea Spirit ensures safe and stable navigation through icy waters. The operational benefits of the new retractable fin stabilisers include reducing the ship's roll when anchored, moored, or drifting, reducing dynamic drag when deployed while underway and eliminating vibration and noise.
