Mull

Geography

Mull, or the Isle of Mull, is the second-largest island of the Inner Hebrides (after Skye). Mull lies off the west coast of Scotland. The island has almost 480 km (300 miles) of coastline. The area of Mull covers 875 sq km (338 sq mi), making it the fourth-largest island in Scotland. Mull's diverse landscapes range from rugged mountain peaks to sweeping moorlands and dramatic coastlines.

Significance

Mull's significance lies in its blend of history, nature, and culture. The island has several historical landmarks. Mull is also home to diverse wildlife, including otters, Red Deer, Golden Eagles, White-tailed Eagles and more.

Attractions

Some of the most iconic landmarks of Mull are Duart Castle and Iona Abbey.

Activities

Birdwatching and hiking are popular activities on the Isle of Mull. One of the challenging hikes is the ascent to Ben More, the island's only Munro.
