Lundy Island

Geography

Lundy Island lies in the Bristol Channel off the coast of Devon. This rugged and remote island stretches 3 miles long and less than a mile wide, with a diverse landscape of cliffs, grasslands, and rocky shores.

Significance

Lundy is renowned for its wildlife, including puffins, seals, and unique flora. The island is a Marine Conservation Zone, highlighting its environmental importance.

Attractions

The Old Lighthouse, Marisco Castle, and the Victorian church. Diving sites around the island are among the best in Britain, with shipwrecks and marine life.

Activities

Birdwatching, hiking the island's trails, diving to explore underwater marine life, and rock climbing on its sea cliffs offer adventures for nature enthusiasts.
