Loch Buie

Geography

Loch Buie is a tranquil coastal inlet on the southern coast of the Isle of Mull in Scotland's Inner Hebrides. Located about 22 km (14 miles) from Craignure, Loch Buie is framed by rugged hills, lush woodlands, and open moorland.

Significance

Loch Buie’s cultural significance is highlighted by Moy Castle, a 15th-century ruin that once served as the stronghold of the MacLaine clan.

Moy Castle and the Lochbuie Stone Circle are among the main attractions of the Loch Buie.

Activities

Loch Buie is a tranquil place to enjoy hiking, birding and wildlife watching. There are many trails to choose from.
