Ammassalik Tasiilaq

Significance

The largest town in East Greenland, Ammassalik offers a glimpse into the traditional and modern lifestyles of Greenland's East Coast.

Geography

Located on Ammassalik Island, the town is surrounded by dramatic mountains and fjords, amidst stunning Arctic landscapes.

Attractions & Activities

Kayaking in the fjords, hiking to the Flower Valley to enjoy the diverse Arctic flora, and visiting the Tasiilaq Museum to learn more about local history and culture. Helicopter tours to the nearby glaciers are also available.
