Lemaire Channel

Geography

A narrow passage between the Antarctic Peninsula and Booth Island, the Lemaire Channel is known for its photogenic vistas, resulting in its nickname,  "Kodak Gap".

Significance

The channel is a favourite for its breathtaking scenery and as a gateway to further Antarctic explorations, offering some of the most picturesque landscapes in the region.

Attractions

Icebergs, whales and seals are commonly seen in the channel, with the surrounding peaks reflecting beautifully in the water.

Activities

Cruising through the channel is a highlight for any Antarctic voyage, offering breathtaking opportunities for photography of the environment.
